Larry Blair, along with his wife Shirley, founded Blair’s Direct Cremation & Burial Service Inc. of Redding, CA.

The Blairs are originally from Humboldt County; Shirley, a graduate of Arcata High School and Larry, who attended McKinleyville High School.  It was in Arcata that Larry began his career in funeral service.  He received his degree in Mortuary Science from the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science in 1977.  Returning to Humboldt County, Larry managed mortuary chapels in Arcata and Eureka before relocating to Fort Bragg in 1985 where they owned and operated a funeral chapel for many years. It was here that Larry and Shirley raised their two precious daughters while also serving as pastors for a local church.
